Daer Pulak,
in the northern Coast Belt of the North American Cordillera in the Yukon we
have observed And-Bt-St-Grt assemblages in a contact metamorphic aureole.
Muscovite is being consumed by the andalusite- and staurolite-producing
reactions, and disappears almost completely. Also, staurolite is being
consumed by andalusite and is most commonly found as relics within
andalusite grains. Sillimanite coexists with andalusite. For more see:
