Dear Colleagues,
At the moment I am writing an application for post doc. foundlings on the
project "Fluid source, formation and exhumation of the Skattøra migmatite
complex, north Norwegian Caledonides; implications for the development of
the Caledonides of north Norway".
The Skattøra migmatite complex consists of migmatitic nepheline-normative
metagabbros and amphibolites that are net-veined by numerous
nepheline-normative anorthositic and leucodioritic dykes. Field
observations, geochemistry and experimental work strongly suggest that the
anorthosite magma formed by anatexis of the surrounding gabbro in the
presence of a H2O-bearing fluid phase.
In relation to my next project on these rocks I need data on
geothermbarometri combined with different age determinations and isotope
systems. I hope to get in contact with a university were I can stay for
6-12 months (beginning spring 2003). During the stay I would like to carry
out radiometric age determinations (Sm-Nd, U-Pb, Ar-Ar) and stable isotope
analyses (O, S). Hopefully you also have a microprobe at your university
that I can use.
The University of Tromsø and the Norwegian Science Research Council will
pay my salary, analytical time etc.
More information about me can be found on:
