Dear Pete et al,
The next trade renactor's market is at Blackbird Leys in Oxford 15 - 17
March, usually attended by thousands. You can buy good-quality costumes,
hats and props there at trade prices, not to mention rubber dragons (never
without one, myself) and Klingon foreheads. IMTAL-Europe (International
Museum Theatre Alliance) members will probably be going en masse on Friday
15th (afternoon) if anyone's interested. It's an amazing experience.
Please note that I am no longer using the address above for everyday mail
due to the spam - some deeply unpleasant, with aggressive hyperlinks to
websites unknown - which arrives unsolicited via academic mailbases such as
GEM and Heritage. Anyone else finding this a problem? As a consultant I
don't have the benefit of a corporate firewall!
If anyone genuinely wants my new address please e-mail me at the nascr
address and I'll get back to you next time I dial in (which I still do once
or twice a week). I don't want to broadcast it.
Best wishes,
Verity Walker

Subject: Underwear
Hi
I am looking for a couple of items of clothing - late Victorian/early
Edwardian style:
a (heavyweight) woolen vest/undershirt - long sleeve and with 3-4 button
neck opening
a thick flannel shirt (without collar)
It does get a wee bit cold up here, but these are not for me personally!
They are for demonstrations/workshops comparing modern cold weather clothing
with Scott/Shackleton era.
Thanks
Pete
