Christian,
it happened on two different machines, my cube and another person's
titanium. I don't know about his power supply, but my external hd is
powered externally. That's why I was asking other OSX users to see if
anyone else had a problem... It is a mystery to me. I really don't know
how to troubleshoot because I am afraid if I replicate the error I will
fry my computer again and I don't have time for that :)... I never have
a problem transferring data to and from that drive and I do it often and
the data is large.
