All MR scanners support dicom, therefore I think it is wise to move from using
raw image file formats to the dicom file format.
I does not need to be so complicated as written below here. From the CTN
package ( http://www.erl.wustl.edu/DICOM/ctn.html) one can use
"simple_storage" as a (primitive) dicom server. I works very good, if one
uses the more advanced settings of "simple_storage" for file and directory
creation (look at the -n flag). Different studies will simply be in different
subdirectories.
Mricro is able to create 3D or 4D analyze files from dicom files. I know
xmedcon is out there as well, but I have only been able to create 2D analyze
files with it.
