The Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) is delighted to announce that it has been
awarded a Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education.
Awarded every two years, these Prizes recognise UK based centres of
excellence in education and outreach.
The Royal Anniversary Trust citation reads:
"A world-class centre for the study of forced migration and refugees has
been created at the University of Oxford. With its pioneering research and
innovative education and training programmes the Refugee Studies Centre has
had a major constructive influence throughout the developed and developing
world and has stimulated effective international networks."
This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work, commitment and
belief of all those that have been involved with the RSC in one way or
another, to its staff, its friends and funders, its partners and
collaborators and to the refugees themselves who have helped inform the
Centre's research and teaching. Without the ongoing financial support of
individuals, trusts, agencies, and foundations none of this would have been
possible. We are extremely grateful to all our supporters past and present.
