CALL FOR PAPERS
Older People and Humanitarian Crises
Forced Migration Review (http://www.fmreview.org) is preparing an issue
focusing on the needs and capacities of older refugees and internally
displaced persons. We are interested in receiving papers looking at such
issues as:
- Do relief agencies listen to older people?
- What do displaced older people think of services provided by relief
agencies?
- What can be done to end marginalisation of older refugees and IDPs and
ensure equitable access to food, shelter and medical care?
- What needs to be done to get agencies to pay attention to the needs,
knowledge and experience of older people?
- What innovative practices in working with older people need to be
disseminated and replicated?
Articles should be no longer than three thousand words. Deadline for receipt
of articles: 1 March 2002. Please send ideas/abstract in advance. Email:
