Dear Colleagues,
There is a very large project underway to completely redesign refugee camps
as environmentally sustainable settlements. Experts from around the world
are gathering in California in two weeks for an intensive design meeting
focused on this purpose. I am writing you for your ideas and insights
concerning this critical issue. Will you please take some time to contribute
to the "idea pool" for this project?
I have set up a Global Idea Pool for Refugee Camp Redesign. This allows
people worldwide to contribute their knowledge and wisdom to this process.
There is a simple web-site form where you can submit your ideas (anonymously
if you wish). Additionally, you can read ideas that have already been
submitted, which may stimulate more ideas of your own.
To learn more about this redesign process, and to contribute your ideas,
please visit this web-page:

Additionally, would you please help me reach other people involved in
refugee camps around the world so that I can get their ideas as well? I know
that there are multitudes of good ideas out there, and I want to collect
them before we go into this intensive design meeting on February 11th, 2002.
Please forward this to people whom you feel could contribute.
Thank you for your time and effort and please contact me if you have any
questions. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
--
