Anthem Studies in "Population Displacement and Political Space"
(series editors, Professor Peter Gatrell & Dr. Nick Baron, University
of Manchester, UK) is a new multi-disciplinary book series exploring
the interactions between population displacement and the political
organisation of space. It addresses these themes from both historical
and contemporary perspectives and has a global geographical scope. The
series considers migratory processes not only from "from above" but
also from the viewpoint of the displaced. It aims to promote new ways
of understanding the spatial development of regions, nations, states
and empires, offering specialists and students, policy-makers and
practitioners, as well as general readers, new insights into the
ethnopolitical, cultural and social geographies of past and present.
The series editors and editorial board represent a wide range of
expertise in history, sociology, anthropology, human geography and
migration and refugee studies. We welcome the submission of proposals
for new monographs, volumes of collected essays and other publication
formats.
