LECTURER / SENIOR LECTURER IN DISASTER MANAGEMENT
The Northumbria Disaster Management and Sustainable Development Programme is
seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Disaster Management. The
appointment, which is to be filled by September 2002, will provide teaching
and research in support of a vibrant programme in Disaster Management and
Sustainable Development. Suitable candidates will hold a PhD, have empathy
with and experience from disaster management and its links to development
issues, and will have previously held a lecturing or other teaching post in
a related subject area.
Disaster management and sustainable development at Northumbria centres
around international research activities and postgraduate studies with
longstanding strengths in developing world issues and more recent links with
the UK emergency services.
