INVITATION
The High Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology Rector, through the Department of Nuclear Engineering
of the Nuclear Science and Technology Faculty, summons all specialists in the field of the Industry Safety to
participate in their V International Workshop. It will take place from March 4th to 7th, 2003.
In the Scientific Meeting the main topics are:
IndustrySafety and Maintenance Management.
Symposiumon Energy Conversion Methods
The Safety Industry Cathedra is an entity created in August of 1995 as a result of the First International
Workshop on the Evaluation of the Industrial Safety
and Accident Prevention that took place in the High Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Technology (ISCTN).
The Safety Industry Cathedra has the task to summon the International Workshop Safety, divulge and promote the
safety culture among the several organisms and domestic and foreigners institutions related with activities of design,
operation, maintenance, analysis, supervision and industrial and transport facilities management with implicit
associate dangers to their activity, as well as research center, of higher education and training.
The formers call for the International Workshop has relied on the participation of specialists from more than thirty
productive centers and scientists of eight ministries and foreign specialists of recognizing international prestige in the
thematic.

ABSTRACTS FORMAT AND DEADLINE
Authors should send a page (letter format or A/4) by e-mail, with the title of the paper, full name,
complete each author address (including e-mail address, fax and phone number), five keywords
(200-250 words), before december 15th 2002 to the Chairman of Organizing Committee
SAFIND’2003.
PAPERS PRESENTATIONS NORMS
Full paper will be accepted in Spanish or English and should be send by e-mail to the Organizing
Committee before January 15th 2003, according with the following specifications:
Top margin: 3 cm; bottom margin: 2 cm; left margin: 3 cm and right margin: 1 cm.
Writtenusing Microsoft Word for Windows 97 or previous version,; page format: letter; font:
Times New Roman, size 12.
The paper must include: Title, author full names and y affiliation, complete address from each
author (including e-mail address, fax and phone numbers) institutions, abstracts, five
keywords and the size should not exceed 8 pages, including figures, tables, bibliography and
appendix.
