I know you don't get it John; more the sorrow.

Steven,
I don't get it. You are asking me to apologize for one of your
government's stupid accidents which cost the lives of 4 Canadians, and
injured eight others? What happens when the small 'nuclear bombs' do not
hit their targets? Can we still call that 'friendly fire'? These bombs
are not that small if they can blow up mountains.
We only had 900 troops there. Our first casuality in fifty years?. I am
alarmed that this even happened. This is a new low alright.
I am preparing to write a letter to Jean Chretien. I am going to ask
our Prime Minister to pull our troops from Afghanistan. There are many
'wise' and 'wonderful' people in Canada who having this similar thought.
This accident was 'stupid' if you look at the facts. The pilot was not
even permitted to use 'force'.
We should not even be there, especially in a combat role. We have been a
nation of 'peacekeepers' since the Korean War. We now have innocent
civilian blood on our hands because we have assisted the US. At least
3000 civilian Aghanistanis have been killed by US bombs since the start
of this attempt.
I recall when the US tested the first hydrogen bomb in the South
Pacific. I think it was during two tests, one at Bikini Atoll. In these
tests many innocent South Pacific Islanders were poisoned by radioactive
ash which fell on them. Was that negligence or an accident?
Also how many US citizens did the above ground nuclear tests in New
Mexico and Utah injure and kill? Was that an accident or negligence?
History repeats itself very quickly. Was it accident or negligence when
US soldiers were poisoned by bullets made from spent uranium during the
'Gulf War'?
How could I be sorry for the US government and it's highly paid military
actors? I am not a bit sorry and have no desire to apologize, because
history repeats itself.
If there is one thing we can learn from history, it is this: We Don't
Learn
>From History, We simply Repeat It Over and Over Again.
