Position: Senior Geo-Technical Engineer
Location: Newcastle
Salary: Neg
Our client, a UK based engineering company working internationally on
civil and construction-based projects, is looking to recruit an
experienced Geo-Technical Engineer to join its existing North-East based
team. With an excellent first degree and Engineering Geology – related MSc
or equivalent, you will hold Chartered status and have a minimum of 6
years experience within Geo-Technical Engineering relevant to the
construction industry. Experience of the following specialisms is
essential:
-Ground and Hydrogeological Investigation Contract Documentation, Design
and Implementation
-Geotechnical Design for Foundations, Slopes, Retaining Structures,
Earthworks, Ground Improvement and Mine Stabilisation
-Management and Assessment of Geotechnical Risk
-Acquisition/Divesture Audits
-Interpretative Reporting
-Preparation of Contract Documentation
Experience of all aspects of project management is essential, in order to
successfully project manage the geo-technical work from the Newcastle
office. The successful candidate will also be involved in business
development within the commercial, residential, industrial development,
highways, land  reclamation, minerals extraction and waste management
sectors; therefore demonstrable business development experience is also
essential. Applicants will have an outstanding technical background,
coupled with a full understanding of al current applicable legislation.

Position: Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer
Location: Newcastle

East – based team with the addition of a Senior Geo-Environmental
Engineer. With an engineering/environmental geology (or similar) first
degree and preferably a related civils-based MSc qualification, you will
have upwards of 6 years experience and ideally hold chartered status.
Experience of geo-environmental engineering within a construction context
is highly desirable, including specialisms such as:
-Contaminated Land and Hydrogeological Investigation, Contract
Documentation, Design and Implementation
-Remediation Design and Mitigation Design for Polluted Ground and Surface
Waters, and for Soil Gas Management
-Landfill Design, Preparation of ES’s, Working Plans and CQA for planning
and waste management license submissions
-Qualitative/Quantitative Risk Assessment
-Environmental Audits/Due Diligence Audits (pre-acquisition/divestiture)
Experience of all aspects of project management is essential, in order to
successfully project manage all geo-environmental work within the North
East region; as is a thorough knowledge of current applicable
Environmental legislation. Demonstrable experience of business development
is also highly desirable, as the successful candidate will also be
required to assist with business development within land reclamation,
pollution control and waste management.

Position: Geo-Environmental Project Manager
Location: Kent
Salary: ŁNeg

Our client, an independent multi-national consultancy, is looking to
recruit an experienced geo-environmental engineer to join its existing
Kent-based team. With a good honours degree and preferably a related post-
graduate qualification, you will have around 4-5 years experience within a
consultancy environment. Successful candidates will have a strong
technical background covering all aspects of contaminated land
investigation, assessment and remediation. Coupled with this, you will
also have strong project management skills, covering aspects such as:
Proposals and Pricings, Client/Regulatory Liaisons, Team
Supervision/Continued Professional Development. Outstanding report writing
skills are also essential. In return our client is offering the
opportunity to work on an exciting range of projects. Salary will be
commensurate with skills and experience, but certainly competitive within
the market.
