'Syntax of Mark and Gesture'
Dear All
Tracey <http://tracey>, the online journal dedicated to contemporary
drawing issues, is pleased to announce the publication of 'Syntax of Mark
and Gesture', a range of fascinating articles examining gestural aspects of
drawing. Contributors include John Willats (author of 'Art and
Representation'), design researcher Gabriela Goldschmidt and artist James
Faure Walker.
Along with these additions, Tracey has been restructured and upgraded to
accommodate the diverse interests of our readers and contributors. There's
a range of new categories, or 'Hot Topics', including 'Is Drawing a
Language?', 'Drawing & Technology' and 'Representation', and the Sketchbook
section has also grown, notably with the addition of Bob Krikac's 'Duet', a
visual account of drawing journeys in Europe and America.
These changes will help to ensure Tracey's continuing growth as a resource
for practitioners and scholars. Whether you are an artist, designer,
educator, researcher or simply share our passion for drawing, we're sure
that you will find something to interest you, and we look forward to
receiving many more contributions on the subject of drawing, in all its
manifestations.
We hope that you will enjoy exploring the new, upgraded Tracey site.
Yours sincerely
Tracey
