I like your web proposal very much and hope there are enough possibilities
to continue to develop it. I did a PhD research at the University of
Hertfordshire, UK, department Arts and Design. Thesis: The RS-index: a
diagnostic instrument for the assessment of interaction structures in
drawings. After my final viva this spring, I would like to learn much more
about drawing research.

Onderwerp: Drawing Research Network web proposal
At the Drawing Research Network meeting held at Kingston on 22 February I
said I would try to arrange to put up an outline proposal for a web resource
for the Network. This can now be found at
http://www.drawingpower.org.uk/Drawingresearch/Researchnetwork.htm
There are 3 pages to view. The first is the title page which offers aims
and objectives of the Network and a contents list. Click on 'Members and
their drawing research activities' and you would come to a list of those
members who wished to put up information. From here click on 'Steve Garner'
and you get a one-page outline of drawing research activities.
I'd welcome feedback on two aspects:
1. Do we want such a web resource? What other links might we offer from the
contents page. Do you envisage a different concept for the Network's web
presence? Should the personal page simply be link to members home page?
2. You might want to comment on the content such as the aims and objectives
or my research outlines.
I'm not a web page designer and this is very much a rough draft. I merely
offer this in order to progress the activities and profile of the Network.
If the idea receives support then we have to confront the problems of how do
we collect, input, upload and update Network and members information. At
present I have drawn on the gererosity and expertise of Clare Hansen at The
Campaign for Drawing.
I look forward to reading your comments via the List.
