To introduce myself I run the Learning Technologies Group at the
University of Oxford. It is based at the University Computing Services but
its aims are to increase or enhance the use of IT in teaching and research
within the University. The LTG consists of a development team which works
closely with academics to produce projects, a research wing (we also
hosted part of the ASTER project which looked at how effective IT was in
small group teaching), and a training team (teaching academics and
students about applied use of computing in their disciplines).
I worked for several years at one of the CTI centres (Textual Studies) and
also managed a project under the JTAP scheme which developed web sites to
teach WW1 poetry (http://info.ox.ac.uk/jtap/). In addition I'm a member of
the English faculty here where I teach electronic literature courses.
I think that's enough, but if you want more information about the LTG see
