CALL FOR POSTERS AND PARTICIPATION

Workshop on Engineering e-Business Systems

10-12 July 2002
University of Kent at Canterbury, UK

http://www.cs.ukc.ac.uk/eebw

The workshop aims to consider the issues surrounding the development and
adaptation of e-Business systems. It features a mixture of experienced
industrial and academic speakers, and provides plenty of opportunity for
discussion and interaction amongst participants.

Following the success of last year's event, this workshop is being run for
the second time. This year includes tutorial and poster sessions, in
addition to the strong programme of invited speakers. Our goal is that you
should leave the workshop with better knowledge of what the issues are, what
people are doing today, what approaches are being tried by researchers, and
who are the key players.

Speakers include:

Ross Anderson (University of Cambridge)
Derek Coleman (RosettaNet & HP)
Paul Dyson
Wolfgang Emmerich (University College London)
Anton (Tony) Fricko (IBM jStart Emerging Technologies)
Peter Kawalek (Manchester Business School)
Peter Keen (Keen Innovations)
David Keene (Oracle Corporation)
Mark Little (HP Arjuna Labs)
Paul May (Verista)
Pete Rivett (Adaptive Ltd)
Santosh Shrivastava (University of Newcastle upon Tyne)
Alan Cameron Wills (TriReme International Ltd.)
Andrew Watson (Object Management Group)
Roel Wieringa (University of Twente)

This years poster session provides an opportunity to share innovative ideas
and new applications of technology. Posters are an excellent forum for
authors to present their current work, which can either be practitioner's
reports, or research reports that may be too preliminary for a full
technical paper. Posters from post-graduate students are particularly
welcomed, and there will be a prize for the best student poster.

Who should attend? Practitioners and academics trying to find answers to
these questions: What are the current, and likely long-term, problems faced
by industry and business in this area? What solutions have researchers been
proposing, and how appropriate are they?

Detailed information of the workshop, including a preliminary programme of
talks and tutorials, a call for posters, and registration and accommodation
details is available at:

http://www.cs.ukc.ac.uk/eebw

The workshop is being organised by the Software and Systems Engineering
Group, in the Computing Laboratory at the University of Kent at Canterbury,
UK.
