The annual international Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest publishing
business forum in the world. Lithuania has been invited to participate in
the fair as the guest of honour.
Country presentations at the Frankfurt Book Fair are not restricted to book
exhibitions. This is a wonderful window of opportunity to introduce to an
international audience the national culture at large, as well as the country
’s literature and public life.
With the aim of achieving stylistic integrity for the exhibition, Lithuania
is choosing to present some jazz . To this end, the best Lithuanian jazz has
been summoned.
During the opening ceremony, the Vyacheslav Ganelin, Vladimir Chekasin and
Vladimir Tarasov jazz trio, coming together again for the first time since
1986 for the purpose of the Frankfurt Book Fair, will give a  concert. Each
day of the exhibition, a jazz hour will be held on the main stage.
