Applications are invited from self-motivated, well-organised graduates with
a degree in an arts or humanities subject and practical experience in either
a research environment creating/managing digital research resources, or in
an (digital) archive/repository in a collections development/management role
to lead and coordinate a JISC-funded project to develop a new flexible model
for managing digital research collections. The project aims to develop a
partnership model between the AHDS and data creators/institutions that
ensures that potential users of digital collections are able to successfully
locate, cross-search and access these collections for use in research,
teaching or learning wherever they are located, whilst ensuring that their
long-term preservation is catered for.
This is a challenging and interesting post suited to an individual seeking
to develop their career in the rapidly expanding field of digital archives
and services. Applicants must possess the ability to write clear
comprehensive reports and to document complex procedures and processes. An
excellent knowledge and understanding of standards and protocols for
creating digital collections and metadata standards for describing digital
collections is essential.

This is a fixed-term post for 18 months.
Salary for this post will be within the ALC2 range 23,259 to 29,473 (GBP)
p/a including London Allowance.
