SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS
CADE and the University of Westminster
with funding from the HEAD Trust
2002 Post Graduate Forum
in Art, Design and Media practice
CADE (Computers in Art and Design Education)
and the University of Westminster are pleased
to announce the 2002 Postgraduate Forum.
This year the forum will be hosted by the School of
Communication and Creative Industries Graduate Centre
at the University of Westminster, Harrow Campus on
Wednesday June 19th 2002
All postgraduate PhD and MA students in art, design and media practice
are invited to contribute to this forum with a short presentation
about their ongoing research.
The general theme for the forum is
SUBJECTIVITY, SUBJECT and SUBJECTIVE
Questions of the subject, subjectivity and the subjective
have all emerged as crucial to debates in cultural practices
and theory in recent years.
We are seeking papers from postgraduate research students
in art, design and media practice who use digital technologies
as their primary tool and whose work addresses the topic of
'subjectivity', either directly or indirectly.
*** We are also able to offer financial support to
participants through the HEAD trust fund.
This means that we can help students with their travel expenses
and overnight accomodation
Please send a 200 word proposal as an email word attachment
by Friday 3rd May to :
