Yes, Arni, I wasn't spending my misspent hours there then. It is sad that we
never met up in Leicester but as neither of us realised we were there at the
same time it's understandable if lamentable, that you were doing a course at
the same college where I was also doing workshops makes it even more
bizarre. Ships that pass in the night, aye cliche!
Meantime, the Leicester Tigers are waning because half of their team makes
up the currently all-conquering England Rugby Union side and is therefore
otherwise engaged, Alison liked the Guildhall but spent much of her time in
Leicester having a cold, who could blame her, I only have to look out the
window and I want to sneeze on principle, as for loneliness, ah yes,
Anglo-Saxon societies are very good at that, for a solution apply to
D.Bircumshaw Esq. who will always give anyone a friendly welcome, I can feel
that myself here too, even though I know hordes of people.
All the Best

I said this before, and I'll say it again! But, there was no Dave the poet
there when I read at The Leicester Phoenix Arts back in November '99! A very
lonely place then, it was, Dave.
