Hi -
the following notice will (should) appear in the next edition of PCR, and on
the Live Art listserv.
Please forward it to anybody you know who you think may be interested; and,
of course, if you'd be interested, do let me know.
What we can't say in PCR but can tell you is that we're happy to receive
applications also from people with little or no experience of performance
but who like the sound of the project...
I can be contacted at 020 7419 4841 if anyone needs further details.
With thanks and best wishes,
Chris Goode
The award-winning company Signal to Noise is seeking performers for its new
collaborative performance-installation project THE BIG ROOM, which is being
developed in association with Camden People's Theatre for performance in
early November. The piece requires the participation of twelve performers,
m/f, real age 18-35. Actors with some training or demonstrable interest in
dance, live art or visual arts will be particularly suitable; strong
interest in writing and/or music will also be desirable. The work will need
a combination of physical and mental stamina, close attention to detail,
emotional courage and unflinching honesty; expressions of interest from
friendly, unpretentious, ego-free performers will therefore be especially
welcomed. The partner companies regret that the project pays expenses and
profitshare only, but could be worked around paid commitments. To be
considered (and if available to start work in late September), please send
resume, photo and full covering letter asap to Chris Goode at Camden
People's Theatre, 58-60 Hampstead Road, London NW1 2PY.
