You can get personal firewalls (BlackIce is one, ZeroKnowledge is another) that can filter cookies - I like that Amazon (Google and slashdot as well) should have my cookies. But not others. Opera can warn you about cookies that have a different domain frm the site you're visiting, which is very useful.
