In theatre the Argon laser is used directly via an endo-probe that is
inserted into the eye or indirectly using a headmounted indirect
ophthalmoscope, where there is the strong possiblity of the surgeon
inadvertently mis-directing the beam. Question is, is the drape and tapped
lid of the other eye sufficient protection, or is a shield necessary?
The shield and wavelength depended ones, is I agree better than wet eye
pads.
