I ahve now received a response from London Univ. I thought esp. those within
various colleges and other insitutions of ed. (or LEA) would like to see it.
It clearly was not discussed very broadly as the senior staff at the ICS
claim not to have seen it.

Dear Ms Sherwood
Lee O'Callaghan has passed on to me your 2 e-mails on the above subject.
The University developed a policy in time for the
31 May 2002 deadline which was approved by the Council on 3 July.
The full policy, which indicates clearly that revisions will be forthcoming
over the next 12 months, will be published on the new University web site
due to be rolled out in the August - September period. Staff
representatives were consulted and have copies. The timetable was very
tight & therefore difficult, not least because the CRE guidance was not
finalised until the last week of May and the University did not receive the
HEPCE consultative document until mid July.
I attach a copy of the policy as approved by the Council. The "odd type" at
the top provides the University crest if the appropriate font is installed!

I trust this answers the general enquiry you had. If you need anything
further, I shall be on leave after today until 19 August but Lee O'callaghan
or Leroy Clarke can be contacted if necessary.
Yours sincerely
