Applicants should possess a distinguished publications record, an
international reputation and substantial teaching experience. The
successful
candidate will join a strong team of researchers and teachers in a 5
rated
department and be expected to lead a project in their specialist
field. The
appointment is intended generally to strengthen the department's
expertise
in literary studies in the period 1750 to 1850. A special interest in
the
field of Labouring Class Writing may be an advantage.
