international conference on the history of the body, with over fifty
speakers from ten countries.
Panels include: bodily functions; clothing and fashioning; death and
survival; disability; discipline; disease; food; institutions;
marriage;
moral campaigns; nations and the body politic; nature, nudity and
display;
policing and crime; race; regulation; religion; theoretical
perspectives and
work.
There are 20 places left for those wishing to attend this
groundbreaking
conference. Full cost (accommodation, food and fees): £100.00.
A small number of postgraduate bursaries funded by the Royal
Historical
Society are available.
