We've too have a generic design for a joystick/5switch integrator that we usually need to 'customise' for each individual switch/joystick user (and yes, we do conduct a risk analysis). I'd be interested in knowing what sorts of methods of integrating you use with your systems, i.e. how does the user move between the systems and what safety precautions do you incorporate within the design?
