There are a couple of validated wheelchair driving skills assessment tests.
Try the RESNA archives. I just received a paper "the wheelchair skills
test: a pilot study of a new outcome measure" Kirby RL, Swuste J, Dupuis
DJ, MacLeod DA, Monroe R in Arch Phys Med Rehabil Vol 83 Jan 2002. But
haven't read it yet!
