Cultural Connections: Libraries, Museums, and Archives
ARLIS/UK & Ireland Spring Conference
Thursday 23 May 2002, The Public Record Office
Museums, archives and libraries belong at
the very heart of people's lives; contributing to their enjoyment and
inspiration, cultural values, learning potential, economic prosperity and
social equity. (http://www.resource.gov.uk <http://www.resource.gov.uk/> )
The ARLIS Spring Conference will explore the opportunities
for collaboration and cooperation between libraries, museums and archives.
Speakers will include representatives from all three sectors and from
Resource. The programme also includes an opportunity to hear about the work
of the Public Record Office and to look behind the scenes of this
fascinating national archive which spans an unbroken period from the 11th
century to the present day.
Further details and a booking form are attached.
