Apple QuickTime: Media Streaming and Advanced Use

Presenters: Stuart Anderson (Apple Computers)
and Greg Newton-Ingham (BUFVC).
This is a new one day course arranged by the Advisory Service (MAAS Media
Online), providing a detailed look at all aspects of how Apple QuickTime
enables developers and content producers to get content on the web, both
stored content and live web-cast, covering everything from the point at
which you have finished authoring content to the end user interface and
experience.
The course will provide delegates with an in-depth understanding of the
using the advanced capabilities of Apple QuickTime and the tools and
technologies for preparing and delivering QuickTime content.
This includes:
* overview of QuickTime
* the Server environment - including Mac OS X Server and WebObjects
* streaming QuickTime content
* live web-casting
* different media supported by QuickTime
* network and end-user constraints
* future QuickTime developments
Stuart Anderson has a background in working in education for over 20 years
before joining Applešs education team six years ago, and his current role is
promoting some of Applešs core technologies, QuickTime, AppleScript and
WebObjects. Greg Newton-Ingham is Head of the Advisory Service (MAAS Media
Online).
Intended audience: audio visual and computer service providers, librarians,
archivists.
