Colleagues, I wonder if any one can help?
The following request is from the head of Media Production at the
University. I would appreciate any offers of help and/or information
going straight to Rod MacDonald at:

Media Production is in the early stages of planning to create some kind
of on-line database of all the photos which the photographer takes and
has taken over the years. They will want it to catalogue the images in
a pretty multifaceted way, so that e.g. a picture of King's Chapel
could be found by searching on Cambridge, King's University,
architecture, medieval, etc
etc.
Has anyone any experience ( or know a person who has...) of any of the
software which has been produced to catalogue/display images
(eg ImageAXS), and also of this type of classification work?
In the longer run it is intended to be an online resource on the APU
Intranet, with the full catalogue available and the images downloadable.
Many thanks.
