SERVICE MANAGER: ARTIFACT, ARTS AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
HUB OF THE RDN
Salary Grade:Senior Lecturer (£24,906-£32,910)
ArtIfact will form part of the JISC Resource Discovery Network (RDN) and
will focus upon providing a high quality subject gateway service in the arts
and creativeindustries. The areas covered willinclude performing arts,
music, crafts, digital media, graphic design,advertising, architecture,
fashion, 3D design,film/video/TV/radio, visual arts and photography.
You will be responsible for the initiation and ongoing development of the
service. Managing a small team of information and computer professionals,
you will liaise with a wide range of key organisations, negotiate with
stakeholders and potential funders, initiate policy and practice, and
generally play a leading role in building the new service.
You should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills with
previous experience of team-working and project management. An honours
degree or equivalent is required together with a good general
understanding of the arts and creative industries and of related
information. A qualification in an arts-related subject is highly
desirable.
