Environment the Key to Pest Management

This day course is aimed at anyone with any involvement with, or
responsibility for care of, archives and collections.
Course tutor David Pinniger, Independent Consultant Entomologist. He
is
the pest management strategy adviser for English Heritage and many of
the
major UK museums.
Course objectives
To introduce the main agents of bioderterioration, moulds and insects
What they need to live
How to identify them
The damage they cause
Ways to prevent them becoming established
Ways to control them if they do
Understanding the pests environments
Carrying out a practical survey
Making plans to establish Integrated Pest Management
The publication 'Integrated Pest Management' will be provided to all
delegates
