Three Content Co-ordinator vacancies exist for the RDN Arts and
Creative Industries hub, ArtIfact.
APT&C Scale SO1 - SO2: £20,428 - £23,759 pa
We require committed and enthusiastic individuals for this exciting and
challenging opportunity to work on the development of the Arts and
Creative Industries hub. This service will form part of the JISC
Resource Discovery Network. You will be responsible for the creation and
content of a high quality Internet resource catalogue for the arts and
creative industries sector.
Main duties will include: discovery, evaluation, cataloguing and
classification of Internet resources; management of the day-to-day work
of the Content Cataloguer(s) and external content providers; assistance
to the Service Manager in developing and delivering the ArtIfact
service.
You will have a degree or equivalent, a good general understanding of
the arts and creative industries, a minimum of two years experience of
cataloguing, classification and metadata application in an academic or
research environment and experience in the use of the Internet for
information provision. A qualification in an arts-related subject is
highly desirable.
The Manchester Metropolitan University is the lead institution for the
ArtIfact service, on behalf of the Universities in Manchester and
Salford (CALIM) and in partnership with the London Institute, South
Cheshire College and Manchester Computing.
These are full-time posts tenable for a period of one year. However, it
is anticipated that funding will be available on a longer term basis.
Posts will be based either at the Manchester Metropolitan University or
the London Institute.
