Seminar Topic:
A key part of much creative practice is finding and working in
new contexts. By doing this, artists and designers often
attempt to change perceptions of how people experience culture
and how they inhabit spaces (for instance, public libraries).
Does this create new relevance for creative practices in
society and, what is distinctive about work experienced in
spaces that are different to museums and galleries?
Presentation: Alice Angus
Alice Angus will introduce some projects and research on
rethinking audiences’ relationships to artworks and new sites
and contexts for encountering art.
[next seminar: Monday March 18th]
