1.1 Records Management Technical Consultant with Open Text Corp.
1.1.1 General Description
A Records Management product specialist is required to perform records
management software installations, product training, and technical support
for new and existing customers. This onsite work will involve close
interaction with the customer’s records management team and require
frequent travel throughout Europe. This career position may lead to
opportunities within the technically focused Professional Services team or
customer focused Sales team. Applicants with extensive Records Management
experience will be given preference over applicants with technical computer

1.1.2 Location
This position is based in Beaconsfield (London) UK although considerations
would be made to base this position from an alternative Open Text office in
Europe, such as St. Gallen Switzerland.
1.1.3 Responsibilities
Performs onsite product installations and upgrades
Provides training, customer and internal, on Open Text Records
Management products
Works with customers to develop User Acceptance Test scripts and
training material for developed solutions
Works under minimal supervision to accomplish the tasks assigned
Assists with proposal development and post-implementation reviews
Prepares weekly status reports on all project activities
Acts as a liaison between customers and the company when requested
Provides product support to the Customer Support Teams, as required
1.1.4 Knowledge and Skills
Thorough knowledge of Records Management
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Thorough knowledge of installing and configuring at least one
Records Management product such as iRIMS
Basic understanding or experience with:
Windows NT/2000 and/or Unix operating system environments
Oracle or MSSQL Server DBMS products
Experience in document management solutions, workflow management or
web content management solutions are preferred
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
1.1.5 Academic
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma, preferably related to Information Technology,
or equivalent experience.
English with French, German or other European languages would be an
advantage.
1.1.6 Work Environment
The work is performed in a general office environment. However, work
outside of these hours may be necessary due to project schedules, and
deadlines. European travel is required. The work environment
