The Information Resources Unit, Staffordshire County Council is responsible
for freedom of information and data protection issues and also supplying a
wide range of record and information management services to internal and
external customers. The Unit is committed to excellence in the provision of
all its services.
The Senior Records Manager will play an active part in the professional
management team of the service and report to the Head of Information
Resources. The main focus of the role is in the maintenance and development
of policies and procedures to deliver a robust and relevant record service
to Staffordshire County Council. The main duties will include
responsibilities for the overall operation of record centres and the
development of policies and projects in relation to electronic records
management. The post is based at the County Council Record Centre, Stafford
.
You will possess a relevant degree and a postgraduate qualification in
records/information management or equivalent. Considerable experience in a
professional records management role is essential as is a proven track
record in managing records services. You will need a thorough understanding
of current professional practices particularly in relation to electronic
records. You will have excellent organisational and analytical skills and be
a confident and proficient communicator.
