Another opportunity to get more archival representation and expertise has
arisen within one of the main sources of external funding, the Heritage
Lottery Fund. If anyone would like to discuss the role of the expert panel
or HLF before applying, please do not hesitate to contact me.
The HLF is seeking new members of it Expert Panels for Museums, Archives and
Libraries and Expert Panel for History Buildings and Land.
The panels help the Trustees and staff assess some of the large scale
applications for lottery funding and provide high level strategic advice.
Expert Panel members will be expected to be of senior standing in their
profession, will be required to devote 1 up to 1 day a month to HLF
business. Those appointed will be paid a daily fee of £350 (+vat if
applicable) and may claim reimbursement for travel expenses.
