** Please excuse any cross-postings **
As part of the work of the VERS Centre of Excellence we are reviewing the
VERS Standard (PROS 99/007:
http://www.prov.vic.gov.au/vers/standards/pros9907.htm). The Victorian
Electronic Records Strategy or VERS is a framework of standards, guidance
and implementation projects which is centred around the goal of reliably
and authentically archiving electronic records created or managed by the
Victorian government. The standard is an integral part of the strategy,
outlining the functions that a archival or recordkeeping system should
perform in preserving records over a long period, the metadata required,
and the long term format of records.
The purpose of this review is to fine tune the standard to improve its
utility.
A link to the survey is located on the home page of the VERS Toolkit (
http://vers.imagineering.com.au/).
We hope that you can take the time to provide us with feedback and we
value any and all responses.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Andrew Waugh
