PROJECT ARCHIVIST
1-year contract
Salary £19,770-£21,078 (pay award pending)
The Somerset Archive and Record Service is at the forefront of providing
access to catalogues online.
We are looking for a qualified archivist to catalogue and publicise the
archive of the Somerset Light Infantry. Following an award of grant funding
by the Heritage Lottery Fund we have a vacancy for an archivist to catalogue
this rich and extensive military archive relating to Somerset's county
regiment.
Cataloguing will be carried out using the CALM 2000 document management
system, and the resulting catalogue will be made available online. The
successful candidate will also have the opportunity to publicise the archive
through the creation of a website, booklet and exhibition.
