Morning all,
Very interesting story in today's Guardian regarding the Australian
Supreme Court's decision to allow a local business man to sue a
website for libel in Melbourne, even though the site is based in the
United States.
The implication of this and the definition of 'publication' as occuring
'wherever an internet article is read' could have important
implications for the legal basis of a publicly available web archive.
Such an archive may now not only need to take into consideration all
relevant local laws, but also those from countries around the globe.
