Archivist
c £22,000
From roads and rivers to rains and buses, transport in London is changing.
Soon, millions of Londoners will notice the difference Transport for London
-TfL -is making as we develop and implement the Mayor 's integrated
transport strategy across the capital.
ARMS (Archives and Records Management Service)is responsible for he
management of TfL 's records. You 'll play a big part in this, by providing
an effective archives service that maintains consistently high standards
-particularly with regard to storage and security. You 'll also create and
maintain computerised catalogues, and select which records need to be
preserved on a permanent basis.
You 'll be a qualified archivist, and thus familiar with the full range of
archives and record management techniques. A natural team player, you should
have a good honours degree and a postgraduate diploma (or a Master 's) in
Archives Administration. Ideally, you 'll also have an interest in
electronic records and computerised cataloguing systems.
