Folowing the award of a Heritage Lottery Fund Your Heritage Grant the
Birmingham Archdiocesan Archives is seeking a qualified and experienced
archivist to catalogue a collection of early twentieth-century papers using
CALM 2000, followed by the enhanced retro-conversion of its paper catalogues
of earlier documents (1583-1899), which form NRA Report 8219. The papers
are of local, regional and national importance.
This is a two-year fixed term contract with a salary of £20,000 p.a.
Applicants should be self-motivated, have a working knowledge of Latin and
French, and have a thorough knowledge of current descriptive standards,
particularly ISAD(G). An interest in post-Reformation English Catholic
history would be an advantage.
