Assistant Archivist and Records Manager

The Independent Television Commission (ITC) licenses and regulates
commercial television in the UK. We look after viewers' interests by setting
and maintaining the standards for programmes, advertising and technical
quality.
The ITC Records Centre provides a comprehensive records management service.
We also maintain the historically important archives of our predecessor
bodies, including the Independent Broadcasting Authority. We are seeking an
enthusiastic Assistant Archivist and Records Manager to contribute to the
ITC's records management and archive services. Ideally you will have a
postgraduate qualification in archive and records management and/or at least
1 years' experience working in a relevant setting. Knowledge of related
legislation, a reasonable level of IT literacy and an awareness of ISAD(G)
are also highly desirable for this post.
Essential personal qualities are an analytical approach to problem solving,
good written and oral communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to
promote records management and archive services effectively.
The starting salary will be approximately £20,000 p.a. dependent upon
qualifications and experience. The post is in ITC salary band one, £15,162
