Was this the "Ancient Biomolecules" meeting held at the Royal Society?
This was published in Phil Trans Roy Soc B 354(1).
I can remember a number of papers on MtDNA, but nothing on variation along the hair shaft
- this strikes me as completely impossible!! However, there was a paper about the
variation of stable isotopes (and possible some other molecules) along the hair shaft -
data from South American Mummies amongst others.
