Research Assistant/Medical Statistician (Full-time)
This post is immediately available for a fixed term of one year, as part of
an enthusiastic and motivated team of researchers in the Paediatric
Epidemiology Group, in the School of Medicine. You will work on a Department
of Health funded project investigating how individuals recall their use of
mobile phones. The project is one of a series of international and national
studies researching the use of mobile phones in relation to brain cancers.
The post will provide an excellent grounding in medical
statistics/epidemiology and involvement in the academic activities of the
group is expected. A degree in a scientific and numerate subject is
essential, as are high-level computer skills including experience with
relational databases and statistical software. Good oral and written
communication skills would be an advantage, as would a relevant postgraduate
qualification and experience of epidemiological, statistical or health
services research.
Salary: Research RIB/IA (£17,626 - £20,470 p.a.) according to experience.
