STATISTICAL GENETIC ANALYST
GLAXODMITHKLINE, HARLOW
YOU WILL
· Work with multidisciplinary teams to implement an analysis strategy.
· Analyze and manage genetic data using existing methodologies
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
· Able to manage genetic data and results
· Able to modify existing statistical genetic analysis methods
· Consult with GSK scientists on statistical genetics issues.
· Will manage statistical genetic data.
· Will analyze data.
· Will interpret results
· Is an expert resource within group in statistics or genetics
· Has contacts with local statistical genetics community
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· BS/BSc/BA and at least 5 years of experience in statistics or
genetic epidemiology, or Masters and at least 3 years of experience in
statistics or genetic epidemiology, or Ph.D. in statistics or genetic
epidemiology.
· At least 2 years of experience in analysis of genetic data.
· Working knowledge of UNIX file system
· Familiarity with at least one computer language including C, C++,
or Fortran.
· Working knowledge of at least one statistical package including
SAS, Splus, SPSS
· Excellent written communication skills.
