Hi all;
Thanks for the interesting post on CIs around proportions.
I am working with rare events (0-7/100,000). It's cases and deaths from meningococcal, changed into Age Standardised Incidence and Mortality Rates. What's the best way of putting 95% CIs around this sort of data? Importantly, will the "best" way widen or shrink the CIs calculated by the binomial proportions method (which I've already calculated).
Thanks
Andrew
