Dear all,
I'm doing a 2-way ANOVA with two similar data sets. In one case the two
main effects are significant as well as the interaction, and in the other
case only one main effect and the interaction are significant. So I wonder
if there is a difference of interpretation concerning the factor which is
not significant in one case but significant in the other (let's denote it
by A). The significance of interaction suggests that factor A has an effect
that depends on the level of the other factor. So is it important whether
the main effect is significant?
Thank you very much for any idea or comment.
